Effie Awards – Silver Effie

In an integrated campaign for housing loans, we utilized a series of amusing scenarios featuring a couple struggling with the consequences of frequent relocations. These scenarios aimed to highlight the delicate existential problem faced by tenants.

Through various channels including TV, radio, print, OOH (out-of-home), digital, and PR, we portrayed the predicament of long-term tenants who yearned for a sense of belonging—a crucial element of human self-esteem. We emphasized how owning a property can help individuals rediscover their self-worth and pride.

The campaign achieved 9% higher visibility compared to competitors within the same timeframe, and brand visibility increased by 8%. Notably, Erste Bank captured a 15% share of the home loans market during and after the campaign—an outstanding achievement for a bank of its size. Additionally, the bank experienced a 3% increase in its share of home loans compared to the previous year, while the number of potential digital customers rose by 113%. The “On our own” campaign was the second-most successful in 2017 and received a silver Effie award in the financial category.
